Art Deco Sterling Silver Champagne Swizzle
Item No. M001103
An Art Deco sterling silver champagne swizzle. It has a little loop at the top, so that it may be worn as a necklace; it would be perfect on a long chain! Circa 1920.
This decadent little device was very popular with flappers in the 1920s. It was used to remove the bubbles from champagne. There is speculation about the reason these were used, but it is thought that removing the bubbles made one less prone to hiccups or belching.
