A 14K white gold Art Deco pin in the shape of a topiary, featuring a carved cabochon emerald planter, with a gemmy carved cabochon ruby and emerald topiary, contrasted with bead-set diamond leaves. The pretty jardin in the emeralds further enhances the image of a garden-worthy plant. Austrian, circa 1920.
Tutti frutti jewelry was popular during the Art Deco period, and is characterized by the use of gemmy, carved cabochon gemstones contrasted with sparkling white diamonds. Some of the most famous tutti frutti pieces were created by Cartier in the 1920s. This style of jewelry was also duplicated in glass and marcasite.
