A pair of 10K rosy yellow gold late Victorian small drop earrings enhanced with black taille d'épergne. Circa 1890.

Taille d'épergne is French for "saving cut"; it is a type of enameling in which a design is engraved in a piece of metal and then partially filled with opaque enamel. Taille d'épergne was often done with black enamel during the Victorian period and is referred to as black tracery.
