Sparkling Early Victorian Citrine and Cannetille Cross
Item No. DMV0801190
An 18K yellow gold early Victorian cross composed of six oval ctirine stones, accented in the corners with cannetille wirework, with a gloved-hand bale. Circa 1850.

Cannetille is a type of goldwork consisting of a filigree pattern created by the twisting and rolling of thin wires. These wires make rosettes, beads and pyramids that add dimension to the jewelry. Cannetille was popular in the early to mid nineteenth century.
